In 1925, Rinaldo and Ezilda Torre visited their family in Lucca, Italy, and upon their return to their native San Francisco, they brought home handwritten recipes, which they then used to create authentic flavored syrups. These syrups helped them reintroduce the Italian soda to their neighborhood. Years later, their syrup was used to create the world's first flavored latte.
